Abandoned Town of Union Level Virginia
Union Level is quite an amazing little piece of history. Located in Virginia, it sits not far from the North Carolina line. Feels like the middle of nowhere, because it kinda is. Abandoned and by many called a Ghost Town, the only thing you can hear is nature and some semi trucks moving along the road. This place once had general stores, barber shops, a bank, motorcycle dealer, pharmacy, and a railroad depot. Unfortunately with the changing times of travel, growing of surrounding areas, and the Great Depression, most of this came to an end by the late 1920's. Many moved to a nearby area called South Hills, VA. Whats left is only a small reminder of what used to be. Population has steadily declined, currently it's at around 67 people within the area, and will certainly continue to become less as times goes by. Let's take a quick look and see what it looks like!

Man, WV is a pretty unique place. With a population of 706, and a median household income of around 70k, it's definitely in a lot better shape than most of West Virginia. This IS the Home of The Hillbillies, as its school name suggests. Let's take a quick drive through and check it out.
MCKEES ROCKS PA HOODS
Переглядів 2,9 тис.День тому
Mckees Rocks is said to be the most dangerous place in Pennsylvania, but taking a drive through it, is it really? With a poverty level of over 30%, a declining population of 5695, and a median income of just 31,000 per household it's not exactly great. There's definitely some rough areas here, let's take a drive and check some of it out!
Knoxville, Tennessee Worst Areas?
Переглядів 2,9 тис.14 днів тому
Here's SOME of the worst areas in Knoxville, TN. Although the crime stats suggest crime to be twice the national average and poverty level more than 22.5%, are the worst areas really THAT bad? The population is certainly growing at 796,337, and increasing every year so maybe it's not all that bad, right? Let's take a drive and check it out.

It is severely in decline from a high of 20,879 from the 1920's. Theres a lot of abandoned homes and buildings as you would expect. However, I find the place unique and interesting. It has a strong sense of community vi...

East Liverpool, Ohio 4k drive at night. Mainly looking at the downtown areas with some industrial as well. This is a rust belt city along the Ohio River, population is 9,599 in 2024. The population has been in the decline since the 1940'...
West Virginia | What Is an Appalachian Holler?
Переглядів 19 тис.Місяць тому
So what really is an Appalachian Holler in West Virginia? Well, it's usually a very narrow road surrounded by beautiful mountainsides. It will have a creek running beside it, and of course will have a dog watching your every move as it sits or stands on the road, might even chase ya (almost always happens to me). A lot of times the holler will be family or close knit friends, they will always s...

With a 23% poverty rate, median household income of about 36,000, a population of 5853, unemployment rate 37% higher than national average, it looks pretty grim. With a soaring poverty level of over 39%, a population in a decline for over 15 years, and an income per capita of 60% less than the national average, this city is in trouble. Shawnee, Ohio | What Happened Here?
Переглядів 29 тис.4 місяці тому
Shawnee, Ohio...WOW! This place looks like it's been frozen in time, and has a very haunting feel to it. At a quick glance Main Street looks like a total ghost town, looking into it further, this is home to 506 residents. Founded in 1872, and located in Perry County in the Southern part of Ohio, this was a booming coal mine area. Coal mining, furnaces, and brick factories were a large part of t...

In the 2000's people got GTA san andreas, and now we get to LIVE in gta san andreas :) be happy
My wife and I livid in OC about 50 years ago. It was a nice place then. There were plenty of good jobs with the oil refineries and Oil City glass. There was Wolfs Head in Reno. All is gone now, very very sad.😪
Disgrace
Reminds me of these songs: Tom Waits' "the house where nobody lives", Jud Strunk's "Bill Jones' General Store" and CW McCall's "ghost town"...
Another great video! Thanks!!!!
It must be nice to walk over there at night. I make my own movie in my head haha. Thank you mate!
Thanks for watching!
How sad. This town was abandoned. It probably was once beautiful. Why do they bother with street signs? 😂😂
You went down the street, then up again. Not much there? lol
That’s all that’s left of the place wish there were more I would have totally filmed it
I bet it was a sweet little town at some point
You didn't film the big fancy really expensive homes on the River road in Franklin Highs or the mansions in Miller Park. There is still money in the area but only a select handful have it. Most of us can barely afford the taxes and insurance and still put food on our table.
96* yesterday in Georgia 🥵 don’t get to far from your water bottle 🥵 scorching hot here!! Thanks for the video
Che peccato 😢
reminds a lot of Canton, Ohio where I live
I have Canton, Ohio on the channel as well check it out thanks for watching!
Thanks. Glad you got a close-up of that gas pump!
It read .97c a gallon!
I wonder who CP Jones was?
I was thinking the same thing
I wonder what keeps the 67 inhabitants there 🤔
Peace
Looks like a Twilight Zone set, except it's in color.
Tragic 😢
And the ivy takes what is left.
Great setting for a zombie movie...😳
I would love to see this place. Do you know how long it has been abandoned? Thank you.
I don't get it, in the beginning of the video, there's all these cars parked near delapitated buildings that have completely boarded windows & doors. So, where are all the people?
Seeing this reminds me of the commercials for the winter. It was a department store, and I can still remember the song .My dad driving us from Warren ohio to that store. My Sharon has changed warren is even worse. 😢
Was once a prosperous small town now a bygone recalling there was wonderful school that is now demolished and now the community has in which resulted into a desolated and squalid area
Crenshaw Cougar and Timken Trojan.. Canton is the city!
Of course I will subscribe.🎉 Now I can see the Appalachians RIGHT ON MY TELEPHONE ❤! (Greetings 🤠 from Maine!).
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!
Most of the young people left.Drugs moved in.
Soon every town and county in WVA and SWVA will be covered in kudzu. Then what.
Talk about majorly depressing!
Philadelphia looks like New York a night Kinda
There was some bright spots in this video. There was actually green grass that wasn’t littered on.
Yikes.
I am from Knoxville and been through these areas only to discover the causes were from the bars popping up especially in these areas.
why is there so few trash cans? the ones you see are overfilled
War, Huh, yeah, what is it good for?
I imagine criminals feel at home there...i wouldnt spend 2 minutes there
Damn
Come to Michigan. We can show you many deserted towns!
I love going to Michigan! Cant wait to do more videos
This looks like a nice place I want to visit someday
That's the first country in the world for you guys.
All the new-ish vehicles
Just by watching this video, you can see the importance of weed-wackers 😂
No one believes in weedwackers down in them parts😳
Looks like Mother Nature is Taking Back whats Hers.
Thank you 😊
Why US became India
My father, brothers, sister, and I grew up in Hendrysburg. We all went to school here as did my father. He operated a filling station and an automobile repair shop and body shop here. Some people think the closing of the coal mines doomed the town but that’s incorrect. The town had been here and very prosperous for nearly 200 years which was nearly 120 years prior to the coal industry boom. The single greatest destroyer of the economy was the interstate coming through. Once that happened, malls began popping up within easy driving distance, local grocery stores were no longer needed. The school closed as did the post office. Everything slowly began becoming consolidated elsewhere. Then, we moved away after graduating school. It’s terribly sad to see this. My sister still lives here as does one of my nephews. It’s just heartbreaking to watch it go to ruin. I have a very detailed video from nearly 40 years prior to this one. I may try putting it onto this platform one day. Thanks for your video.
American dream
I don't think it's very sunny in Philadelphia anymore 😢
This is so sad. These houses were once beautiful and now they just need to be knocked down. A once prosperous city with good jobs making American cars has been reduced to one huge ghetto. Thank you, GM, Chrysler, and Ford for abandoning MOTOWN and making it a ghost town.
